For safety reasons we ask that all students who come to this open gym must be in 1st grade or older. We ask students not in first grade to please attend our Tot Open Gym
This open gym is an hour and a half long. Coaches will be present to help move mats and give a general supervision; one on one coaching is not available during this time. For safety purposes an open stretch and safety talk are required in the beginning for 15 minutes. After this time participants are free to use the gym.
Friday evenings from 7:00pm to 8:30pm and Saturdays 11:00am to 12:30pm are the two open gyms available for boys and girls grades 1 and up. The cost is $7 for OTWG members, and $10 for non members.
Open Gym is great for:
Students to come and practice safely
Non Members to come and use the facility
Students to become familiar and comfortable in the gym, with the equipment and fellow students
Anyone who wants to have fun in the gym
We encourage friends to be brought to this open gym! Open Gym is fun, but even more fun with a friend!
Safety Rules of Open Gym:
Participants must be grades 1 & up
Soft gym clothes must be worn; no snaps, buttons, or zippers
Long hair must be tied back
No jewelry
No shoes; socks must be on
Food, gum, and drink are not allowed in the gym. Water bottles must be kept upstairs or on the stairs
Participants must follow the rules given during the safety talk
